I wouldn't be concerned about a synthetic 0W20 in mine or a blend w/ 5W20. There are numerous reports of high mileage w/ these engines using the 20 weight oils. 5W30 or 5W40 would work as well but I like the spec oil with lowest internal drag.
FWIW these engines have low specific output and a nice oil to coolant oil cooler.
This oil spec shows the correct answer, does the oil meet Ford's WSS-M2C930-A spec? The Mobil 1 0w-20 AFE oil meets that spec meaning it is approved for use by Ford. If your 0W-20 meets WSS-M2C930-A then you are good to go from Ford's perspective.
