Excellent point!
Most consumers think that it is possible to tax "big business" and then they will not have to pay the tax. Of course, anyone with common sense knows that businesses will simply pass the tax along in the form of higher prices. This scheme also suits our politicians as it allows them to "tax the bad guy" without raising taxes directly on voters.
