10' x 10' Canopy : Round Stakes or Weighted Bags to secure?

I guess it all depends on where you are. We were in one campground in Cut Bank, Montana that would not allow you to even use the canopy attached to your RV because of the wind. Free standing canopies were out of the question.
We have been to other RV parks in the Great Plains area of the USA that had similar canopy restrictions or, at the very least, warnings about wind gusts that can develop very quickly.
