Dealer tried to sell me what he called a 10 year wax job for $40. per ft. I declined but got to wondering what the product is they use and can it be purchased somewhere?
Thanks

  • Excellent product.
Thing is you have to hard wax it every year and spray wax/polish it every 6 months in between to not void the warranty. :)
  • You can go to a auto paint supply place and buy the same snake oil. It comes in a gallon jug for $40 and is made by Meguiars.

Can you spell profit? Snake oil!

all your buying is a warrenty, its a screw job
  • It must have been 10 year wax on my car because I never took any off (or on) and it's been 10 years.
  • That sounds as bogus as using interior floor wax on your exterior RV paint.
  • MAGIC POWDER. No such thing. They sell miracle waxes as "the once a year car polish" and we know that is bull ****.
I've never seen anything last better than about six months, in the real world.
Yes I've seen the clear coats. Put them on a lot of boats, when I ran a boat club.
Took a lot longer to strip the garbage off, and put on the good wax, that should have been used in the first place.
It's like wrinkle remover. If someone invents a product that actually works, It'll be 10 million dollars a bottle and i won't have to worry about it anyway.
