What does your inverter power when you are stopped with the engine and generator off and shore power disconnected? Those things should operate while you are driving. Most inverters are connected directly to the battery(ies).
If you are talking about a power management system, which includes power input and distribution and battery charger it may be different but, if you have either a MSW or PSW inverter that is used to convert DV voltage to AC voltage the above should be true.
