I've had mine for several years without any problems. I treat it like a ladder that my well being depends on. It is easy to tell when the sections are locked.

I got mine a couple years ago for about $85 from another mail order place. Love it! Cleaned and siliconed it last fall. Keep your fingers out of the way when you let it down!
