If you are getting a new (to you) RV, you are going to have to try it out and find how YOURS works.
I go to NASCAR tracks with my C; right out in the sun in the summer up near 100.
I put solar tint on the windows.
I keep the blinds drawn.
I keep the awning out.
I keep the cab isolated and covered.
I don't do things that produce heat.....except run the microwave a little.
Putting in a bigger or second A/C is kind of a big undertaking but might be the only good solution for some folks.
The single factory ducted unit, 13.5 I assume, will just barely keep up at 3 PM. In the mornings and evenings, it's just fine.
OH, I also have a small fan that I put outside under the floor to blow the "cooling" air from the generator actually out away from the RV. Without that, it just accumulates up under the floor.
