My '04 Fleetwood 'C' works the same way. The power cord storage compartment has a place to plug in the power cord. Then fire up the generator and let it run while driving. I normally don't do that, though. The engine's A/C works for the cockpit and I travel by myself. Once I get to a FHU CG for the night, I let the CG electric take over. It doesn't take very long to cool down.
