Your generator has 2 circuit breakers. 30 amp for the main panel and a 20 amp for the second A/C. The 20 amp breaker feeds the unselected A/C through the selector switch.
Some of us with that system have interrupted the 20 amp service at the generator so we can run the second A/C with a extension cord.
