1993 Majestic 27 Ft class C Motorhome on ford E-350 chassis.

this may sound silly, but I just registered my motor-home for the first time and proceeded to file the registration in the glove box, typically located on the lower right side of the dash. But where is it? I cannot find it. Did that model not have a glove box

I guess it would help if I told you the make and model of my motor home. It is a 1993 Majestic 27 foot Class C motor home on a Ford E-350 chassis.

  • Fourth generation E-series did not get a glove box until 2008 cab update. My 2003 has a compartment with a door as part of the console, but no lock. My 2013 has a glove box just large enough for the E-series owner's manual and a small phone, if I want to put the phone there to charge it from the USB port.
  • There's no glove box on my motorhome (built on a '98 E-series chassis) either. I guess there is an awful lot of sophisticated truck stuff behind the dashboard there and there just wasn't room to put in a glove box. My subcompact Honda car, meanwhile, is clearly less sophisticated because Honda put in TWO glove boxes despite having so much less space overall.

I attached a 3M Command hook to the back of the dinette seat just aft of the front passenger seat, and hung a little expanding file portfolio with handles from it to store the registration, insurance card, and other important documentation (like campground reservations or receipts) that I wanted ready access to when needed.
  • I don't think any E-series van or cut a way chassis had a glove box. I know that the E series vans we used as ambulance in the late 60s, 70s and 80s did not. Our 06 doesn't either but there is console/storage compartment mounted on the engine doghouse.
