I did the same thing when the dash A/C compressor seized and took out the belt on the 425HP CAT in my Beaver Marquis. Luckily, Brett Wolfe came to my aid and advised that the water pump was gear driven and all I had to worry about was keeping up the charge on the chassis battery to limp to a service place. Had to get a new idler to take up slack and a brand new belt. Done for me by a shop in Bethel, PA. They were magnificent! As was Brett! I was back on the road the next morning.
