1997 Country Coach Intrigue ATS problem

Can anyone tell me where the ATS on the '97 CC Intrigue is located. Heat pumps and all other AC works great on shore power, but when on Power Tech 7Kw, no AC power to pumps or to any of the 120 load centers. I suspect a bad ATS. Need to loacate...........thanks...Huachuco
  • Before even looking at the ATS, turn OFF and back ON the two on-generator breakers.
  • The ATS will be between the junction box where the shore cable changes to the coach AC circuit breakers. It is usually in the cabinet near the entry point. If turning the generator circuit breakers on and off doesn't reenergize your system, open the ATS and check and see if there is power on the generator line size. I would normally suggest you open the junction box on the generator but I'm not sure what is available or where it is located. If the generator is not putting out power, it's not the ATS and a qualified shop should be consulted. If the generator is putting out power to the system, it is possibly the ATS.
  • I saw a post on the Yahoo Country Coach Owners group that said a '98 Intrigue ATS is behind the bed nightstand drawers on the driver's side. Remove the drawers. It should be a black plastic box.
  • Thanks for all the tips.....I will pursue today and let you know the outcome.

It is. I had one go bad.
  • I'll also add that if the ATS is a Todd Engineering ATS that it is often the timer board that goes bad. Another post on the Yahoo owners forum showed how to fix the timer board for $1. Just need to remove and replace a capacitor. Unfortunately, the price of capacitors went up and it cost me $2. Now with Radio Shack out of business it might be harder to get the capacitor.
