1997 Hurricane RV question

We know a couple who just bought a 1997 Hurricane RV--gas--not sure if it's classed an A or B. They got it for a cheap price and want to restore it. It needs a lot of work, but seems to run okay. They brought it by to show us and to ask my husband some questions as they have not owned an RV before.

I was wondering if anyone here could tell me if there might be a manual or something they could download or maybe a website where they could get some info on this RV.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

  • A coach builder's owner's manual is a bit slim on info if they can find one going back that far. Normally what you will find is general paraphrasing what the individual OEM manuals recommend and such. You friend would be better supported finding the individual manuals for the installed items such as the fridge, generator, chassis, awning, water heater, air conditioner and such. They still may have troubles considering the age of the coach but the general operation and recommended maintenance might still be applicable if they find something very close to the item model and year.
  • Try looking on Thor's site; they keep manuals in PDF for mist year. Models. Email them if you don't find what you need; they're very helpful on getting info to you.
  • Also check in the drawers along side of the bed.

That is where most private owners and dealerships put all the manuals.
  • Just "google" 1997 Hurricane RV. Plenty of photos/info.

    Clearly a Class A motorhome.
