2000 Cummins 8.3 Liter, 300 hp ISC Diesel

I've looked on line and can't find any specific information about the 2000 year model of this engine. I think they started out with 12 valves and mechanical injection and went to 24 valves and electronic injection, but don't know when. Can anybody fill me in?

The mechanical 8.3 became a ISC (electronic control) in 1998 and the valves increased to 24. The CAPS injector system was used which is prone to lift pump leaks... $400 and half a day. In 2004 it went to a high pressure rail fuel system which has proven to be a better system. A 1998 MH could have a 1997 engine... 2000 less likely.

Monaco bought up a bunch of 06 ISL engines and you could still find then in some MH's as late as 09.

    What happened with the Alpine?

The guy hasn't got it ready to sell yet which kinda raises a red flag. Officially we're still waiting on him, but his ten days estimate has passed. Plan for the worst, hope for the best.
