Hello my fellow Class A drivers. Hopefully, you can give me some advice on an issue I am having.
Before we hit the road, we had service done because we were getting the warning light coming on periodically. We were also smoking when we started. When codes were run, nothing came up.
So, we decided to have some routine work done, such as changing air filter, fuel filters, oil changes. We went to Cummins to address the smoking issue, and that was determined to be to be the injectors, so they pressure tested them and were determined to be good. Turns out it was fuel injector, and that was replace.
Fast forward. Bus was running well until this week. We are in west TX, and consistently, on the inclines of the hills, she is a bit sluggish, and the warning light comes on. ALL gauges are reading normal. As we crest these little inclines, the warning ligt goes off. I normally do not push, but if I need to get up to 70mph, again, the light comes on until I let off.
Also, if I use cruise control, the same results on the inclines.
We are currently in Ft, Stockton on an overnight. Headed to Carlsbad Caverns. There is a Cummins in Odessa, TX and Albuquerque.
I am not sure what questions to even ask! Is this an air flor issue, Cooling issue, fuel issue? Any insights?
Thanks!
Paul
