The Dodge platform has been popular for years with literally zillions sold. You will not have a problem with parts availability or someone to work on it. As for the handling issue...they handle as well as any other conversion van. Whomever told you they handled poorly, what was his/her qualifications? On what basis was that statement made? I would be buy a Dodge conversion van without hesitation is everything else was OK, too.
Be sure to get the vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic to be sure there is not something wrong. Then be sure to get the RV portion inspected by a RV technician, too.
