OK, just had to go an run it down, so...and this from Workhorse!
2001 - 2002 P30 with the 8.1 used the GM 4L80E.
2003 - 2005 P30 with the 8.1 used the GM 4L85E. P30 then discontinued.
2006 W16 - W18 with the 8.1 also used the GM 4L85E.
2001 and up with the 8.1 and a heavier W chassis, all used the Allison.
2001 - 2002 P30 with the 8.1 used the GM 4L80E.
