2003 Southwind engine cover

My 2003 Southwind has a 2 piece engine cover. The small center portion is easily removable with three visible fasteners, but I do not see any fasteners for the larger portion of the housing. I'm guessing that it may be necessary to lift a portion of the carpet to find them, but I thought I'd post here first. I'm hoping that someone who has a Southwind like mine has already been through and could offer some advice. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you
  • Which engine? Ford V-10 or Workhorse? The doghouse (engine cover) is different height and configuration for each.
  • The remainder of the engine cover is bolted or screwed to the floor and usually the fasteners are underneath the carpet. To reveal the fasteners. Feel around the engine cover and locate them. Frequently the cover has been carpeted separately and the carpet on it blends in with the rest of the floor carpet. Cut the cover carpet enough at each fastener and remove them. The cover is usually cemented or glued to the floor and will have to be broken loose using putty knives of varying widths to get it loosened up.
