The fuel tank in an F53 is large and cumbersome for sure. When empty, it weighs about the same as an empty 55 gallon drum. The best way to remove it is with the motorhome elevated on a lift in a shop bay. Not everyone has that luxury. A few 2 x 6's and a floor jack will suffice, but, without a lift, you'll be on your back on the ground for a few hours with dirt falling in your face. (not fun) If you have one, a once over beforehand with a power washer or high pressure hose will make the job a little cleaner.
It is doable in a half day with minimum tools and a helping hand. Make sure the replacement pump works before you reinstall the tank, but, don't run it dry for more than a few seconds.
