2006 fleetwood bounder dual ac/heat operation

HI, JUST PURCHASED A FLEETWOOD BOUNDER CLASS A UNIT . I HAVE NEVER OWNED
A CAMPER OF ANY KIND . I PARKED AT A CAMPGROUIND FORTHE FIRST TIME THIS PAST WEEK END . I GO THE FRONT HEAT WORKED FINE . HOWEVER, I COULD NOT
GE THE ONE IN BED ROOM TO COME ON . IT IS A 2 ZONE SYSTEM . WHEN I GO TO THE ZONE THAT CONTROLS THE BACK UNIT IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO MOVE THE TEMP UP SO IT WILL COME ON. I DON'T KNOW IF I NEED TO DO SOME ADDITIONAL STEP OR IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE UNIT OR JUST THE THERMOSTAT.
ANY INSIGHT WOULD BE OF GREAT HELP.

  • I'm guessing yours is like mine and I have two propane heaters with one thermostat. When you have selected #2 if you look real close at the little window on the thermostat it will probably indicate off you must select on then adjust the temperature for #2. And the same goes for heater #1.
  • Are you selecting HEAT on the thermst? If so you're dealing with the furnance which has no temp control for the back. Temps are adj frt & back only on the a/c or heat pump in ea a/c.
  • my 2007 bounder both units have heat pumps try switching to ac then see if you get both tempiture settings if yes than maybe you only have one heat pump
  • On many of the Bounder MH there is only one heat pump so only zone one would have heating but will blow heat out of all the vents. Same if you put it on Gas furnace it is usually controlled by Zone 1 only. Only use both Zones if using the AC's. If zone 2 shows Elec Heat or gas Furnace you have Dual Furnaces or heat pumps. Hope that helps
