2008 American Coach Tradition Zone Air

On a 10k APU and on 50 amp service, ALL 120 appliance will function. I will bet the Zone 3 120 breaker is tripped. ALWAYS turn off all the breakers and reset them all. A tripped breaker will sometimes not be that visible, so reset them all. Doug

Well, I discovered the issue with mine and it was my own stupidity. While looking for something complicated, I missed something simple. I had visually inspected all three AC breakers and they looked ON. However, I discovered that the Zone 1 (front AC) breaker was actually in the tripped position but looked to be ON. AC works fine. Can hang meat in the coach now.

What type of units do you have? I am presuming that they have the same operating functions on the controller such as heat pump, cool, furnace (Aqua Hot), fan setting and auto or not. You did not say whether you were running with the generator on or plugged in. In any event, all three ACs should be able to operate off of a 10K generator. If two are working and one is not, there could be an issue with the unit or try to operate zone 3 with the remaining two in the "off" position and see what happens.

I had a similar problem last July 4th 2012; however, it was apparent to me that I needed two new units which were eventually installed. Hopefully, yours is not the case.

The basement heat is on it's own adjustable Tstat in the basement and often set at a higher temp (40) than necesary. Hopefully it's only the solution in the above post... the breaker but not even the fan will work if it's tripped/defective. Lower the temp on #3 and see if it will cool with the other two turned off. With a 10K you should be able to run all three at one time. If you have two zones in one Tstat then make sure both are set the same: cool & fans both on auto.

Our selector switch is right in the bank of switches under our kitchen counter. It is clearly marked W/D --- Center AC.

Have you checked the breaker for zone 3? If you know where the wall sensor for the third unit is, blow hot air at it, see if it comes on.

It's a 10k. Not sure about the fan, I will have to check today. I guess the other question that I haven't looked into is which Zone controls the basement heat?

We found that in our 2 zone system, the fan has to be in the same mode (low, high, auto) on each zone or one zone won't work properly. We also had to reset the thermostat (instructions in the manual) twice.

I will watch this with interest. We just acquired a 2007 CC Allure with the same set up. I also cannot seem to get zone 3 to work. This coach has a 10KW Onan and Intellitec EMS and I have yet to learn all the systems. CC has a temp sensor in all three zones and I suspect as long as the cooling/heating needs are met, it is designed to only run what is needed to maintain set temps.
