2010 Newmar Canyon Star 3920

I am thinking of upgrading our LCD TV in the front to a HiDef model but can't figure out how to access the back of the TV. Anyone with a similar coach try this?

  • So according to the manuals for the TV and the DVD Receiver I have HDMI ports on each. I also have a Blu Ray Media Center and it has an HDMI output on it, Si I need an HDMI switch box, cables, and access to the back of the TV. Guess I'm going to be calling Newmar.
  • For 2010 you probably have an HDMI outlet at the back of the TV...perhaps Newmar put a cable there to your area where your DVD sits or your selector box...that's where mine was and it is a 2009 built in 2008 HR...for all you know you could have the HDMI or component cable in your DVD right now....the 2nd thing you can do to find out if the TV has HD capability is to search it on the internet for the technical part of it, even an owner's manual for it..it will show there if an HDMI or component cable input even exists on the TV...if it does, then it is HDTV....and a call to Newmar will get you the right information...

I'm certain that all were HD. But the coach cabling and/or signal source could be the culprit. Are you setting up for HD via satellite? Or off the air? Or relying on campground cable. I'm not supposing you believe this but many folks believe that the TV itself determines if you have HD. It's comes in two parts: The TV itself and the source of the signal. You must have both to have HD. Give us a little more info so we can help.

  • Sorry I don't have the answer, but I do have the same question. Want to access the cabling and it almost looks like they built the whole front entertainment center and then installed it to the coach.
