Just dump the pan, change the filter, refill. In about 10K miles, dump the pan again, refill, another 10K, do it again. Keep doing that, you will have fresh fluid throughout and very little of the old fluid will remain mixed in. I do this with a little Pontiac Vibe I have (Toyota Matrix in Pontiac clothes) and have been doing this for a 100K miles now. The fluid looks like new when I change it, every oil change.
If you don't have a drain plug, first time, when you pull the pan to do the filter, get an aluminum pan with a drain plug. This will make it easy, add more fluid capacity and thus make it run cooler, and the aluminum pan will help with the cooling too.
