JMHO, the Wrangler is the only FCA/Jeep model that I know will ship four-down ready. Others I have to check a list, but the Wrangler has/should always be able to be towed by popping the transfer case in neutral, trans in park, and going from there. The Wrangler is also light enough to be hauled by most motorhomes... yet big enough to be decently safe in a wreck.
I wouldn't say the Wrangler is the most efficient toad... but I do know that any Wrangler will work as a toad with just a tow bar attached to the front.
