The best you normally can do with Tiffin is 25% on a new unit, factory order. You might be able to do that on a dealer stock unit as well - push them. You might be able to get a little bit higher on a 2013 leftover.

That size Tiffin motorhome will be on a 24,000 lb Ford Chassis with 22.5 wheels. You will not be running out of carrying capacity anytime soon. It will also be on a long wheelbase. Bottom line, it will drive very well without any suspension "fixes" that a lot of people feel the need to do to other manufactures coaches.

As you have found out, Tiffin gives you a whole lot more value than other manufacturers. We had all LED lights on our 2012 even before the Phaeton and Bus models did. The cabinets are all solid wood, the fabrics are the same used in the bigger coaches are just some examples.

Not sure what part of Iowa you are in, but there is a very highly regarded dealer, Kings Campers, in Wausau, Wisconsin that you might want to start with.

Tiffin Allegro - not dealers close by..but at nearest one...2013 New 35QBA with some nice options...141 MSRP. Those with experience, Tiffin 25 to 30% off or in same league as the rest, maybe more for a 13? Surprised the price was less than winnebago...

As long as it works for you, my experience is different bigger tires = better ride.

In gas unit I would never have 19's

Hehe, I was/am the exact opposite - I like the 19.5" wheels and lighter chassis, in the interest of keeping things simple, and not so massive and heavy. That was why I liked the Georgetown.

Go price 19.5" tires vs 22.5" tires, you'll understand one reason why. Then, watch whats involved in changing a 19.5" tire/wheel vs the bigger 22.5" (try lifting, moving around each one, haha). Then, you'll understand another reason why. :)

Then, look at the weight ratings closely on a 22k chassis vs a 20,500 one. Note the 26k GCWR limitation they both have regardless, and the fact this means the 20,500 chassis can actually tow a bit more. There is the other reason why I prefer the 20,500 chassis.

Better ride, handling? I've ridden in both, a 22k chassis with the 22.5 wheels, and mine on the 20,500 chassis with 19.5" wheels. Haven't really noticed much of a difference.

Anyway, back to the original subject, and the last post by original poster: If you can get the Monaco model for about the same price as the Georgetown like you suggested...I would be very surprised. Would probably be seriously leaning toward the Monaco in that case. I'm betting you're going to find, though, that they want quite a bit more $$ for the Monaco than you can get the Georgetown for.

The Tiffin after discount on the 31SA was 102K, with a residential fridge and fireplace.
Also the pass dash has a laptop table.
22.5" and long list of standard stuff.

Some great information and ideas here, thank you and please keep them coming....the more I think I get something narrowed down, the more choices and alternatives pop up...at this rate my decision will never get made LOL..anyways, current finalists...

Georgetown 351DS...can get loaded with full paint, dvds in bunks, stainless steel package, etc pretty much every option for under 90k. Service might be an issue, as no local places.

Monaco Monarch 32SBD...nearly as many options, nice looking, front and back caps, some nice quality features...and I like the outside storage doors on these units...much more like a big pusher unit...seems to excude a higher end feel, at least on WBD. I dont have spec list of units due in yet with the bunks, but based on price of 32WBD assuming would be also just under 90k pretty loaded.

Winnebago Vista 35B - MSRP 145, no idea what real world would be on it, these are harder to find on sale. Entry level Vista, but to be honest looked and felt pretty good, like 6 TVs on the thing, loaded up, 22.5 tires, lots of CCC. Largest tanks, extra half bath, largest plan. ***This is the only unit that would actually be sold to me in town, less than 5 miles away for service and issues....this seems to be a big deal....

Then I need to look at Newmar and Tiffin some more...originally wanted to be well under the 100k mark, but seems I keep getting stretched a bit more.

Wow These are not upgrades on Allegro but standard for most all the options. From what I have seen dual pane windows should be renamed "pain" since seeing so many with bad seals. My 36LA listed at close to 150$ and purchase more like 115$.

I would check out the Canyon Star line from Newmar. That's probably more comparable to the Monarch.

When you are looking at gas bunk models, check out the carrying capacity of the coach. Many of the gas coaches are close to or even over their weight limits coming from the factories. Even some of the diesels are having that problem.
