Monaco Monarch Question

We have been searching for our first RV and found this Class A.
Does anyone have experience with the Monaco Monarch model 33SFS?
The one we found is a 2010 that looked pretty good inside. Seemed to be well
taken care of. Had 10,000 miles on it.

Where can I find out the insulation level used in this coach?
What do we look at as far as the mechanical features. Canefor they be inspected
before purchase?

What should our next step be?
Any thoughts.
  • Yes, it can and should be inspected before you give the seller any money.
If you're not familiar with RV's, hire a mobile RV tech to do the inspection.
  • Be aware that the 2010 model was the first for the Navistar Monaco products. They later sold out to Allied Specialty Vehicles, who later sold out to REV . Not sure how this will (or has) affected getting service, parts, or even if they did a good job or not.

I think if it was me (and this is purely my opinion) I don't think I would entertain the idea of this make, model, and year.

    Just my thoughts...

ahh its just a mid level typical Class A ford gasser.I would not worry about it being a Monaco, lots of parts and pieces to be had for these units cant be more than 65K to buy only retailed for (fully loaded) for 145K so like 100K new
  • I have a 2008 Monaco Monarch 34sbd. Love it, few issues. Hire an independent tech to go over all systems and inspect for leaks. Do not use a tech who works for the selling dealer. Good luck.
