I recently noticed a trend towards all electric, very interesting! I have 3 house batteries, the idea of 8 in not very appealing to me. I have an optional refer that goes gas or elect, so does my water heater. I used my MH about 14 weeks in the last 12 months and purchased about 18 gallon of LP, never once too concerned about LP usage. We did dry camp once for 4 days and did turn on the gen in the morning for an hour or so to warm us up, it did charge the batteries but that was not the purpose of running the gen. Don't remember running the gen for the batteries. I guess the running of the gen to charge the batteries 2 hours twice a day is an additional cost, fuel?
My point is, it's nice to have options, the cost of LP gas is not very much and lasts a long time. God, think of how much LP you could buy for the cost of an extra 5 batteries? I think that would be about 10 years worth of LP?
A 2014 Newmar is big bucks and should come with a satellite antenna.
