I have Schwintek slides. I would much I rather have Newmar's system. While it's true there may be more shops that work on Schwintek most cannot do full-wall-slide removals. My trailer had to get shipped back to the factory twice for slide room removal to repair the Schwintek drive system. However my local dealer was able to handle the repair to the smaller bedroom slide.
As much as I love my trailer and the flexibility of pulling it with my van, the slide out problems have me interested in a Newmar coach now (Thor uses Schwintek so they are a no-go).
