2020 Winnebago View 24D

We are interested in this Floorplan but it only has one television. Has anyone modified this situation and added another television to it. Thanks
  • The standard TV location is viewable from the dinette or the bed.
Where would you put a second TV? In the bathroom?
Unless 2 people used earphones or headphones to view separate TVs, it would be hard to run two TVs at the same time in the open concept layout.
  • The other manufacturers that make this Floorplan all have two televisions. Obviously, the location of the one television would have to be moved. It could be shifted over one cabinet to the bedroom area and another tv located near the cab over bed as other manufacturers have done. Husbands and wifes constantly watching the same program is a marriage made in heaven but not likely.

I posted this to see if anyone has overcomed this limitation.
  • Ah, yes, forgot about the cab over bunk that's standard on the 2020 models. We have the 24V without the cab over, so I forget about it.
If we could have deleted it, like we did on our 2018, we'd probably have a 2020 model 24V. I like the way they standardized almost every option from prior years. Upgraded the MB cab chassis, too. Price went up quite a bit as a result, but that didn't surprise.

If there's power in the cab over, could you mount a small TV in it, and use a sling box or some other remote transmitter/receiver combo to feed a signal to it?

Sorry, we don't watch that much TV out there, even though our 24V has two TVs.
  • In looking at the media wiring diagram for that specific year and model, it does show a "rear" wire from the area of the current TV going outside to an optional exterior entertainment center and towards the back in the inside. Unfortunately, it does not show where that wire ends. Is there any unknown coax or wire behind the inside TV area that doesn't seem to be for anything? If so, maybe toning it out will lead to where it terminates.
  • Asking for a friend, if you are into this much TV, why go out of the house into RVing in the first place?;):B
  • Every day we get emails from readers asking what the best Japanese style flushing toilets are. There are many points of differentiation between smart toilets and brands in general. We always respond that there is no easy answer; it is truly case by case. Smart flushing toilets can differ in terms of comfort (heated seats, automatic flushing, adjustable water temperature, and pressure, air deodorizers, etc.) efficiency (automatic power saving, gallons per flush, etc.), to value & lastly, the overall feature set. The answer is different for every person, depending on what is most important to them!

We approached this question by spending over 8 weeks using and researching the best toilets and then judging them based on the above 4 criteria (comfort, efficiency, value and feature set). We are confident that you will love our choices for Best Japanese flushing toilets.
  • We may be forced to keep out 2015 Winnebago Vista 36Y until we die. It's the 1st and last RV we have ever seen with a ceiling mounted TV in the bedroom. When buying it, we thought "oh, how cool!" but after living with it for 5 years now we've realized what a great soultion it is for watching in bed. Unlike wall mounted TVs that require propping yourself up on pillows to comfortably see the TV, the ceiling mount is right were you are looking when you open your eyes while lying in bed with your head on a pillow. I suspect Winnebago would charge an arm and leg for the assembly but if you intend to keep the RV long enough to recoup the value, it may be worthwhile for you.
