255/80r22.5 Hard to find and expensive.

I noticed on the decal my coach uses the Michelin only size. My coach has 265/75R22.5 which are close but still hard to find easily. Has anyone went to 275/70R22.5, they seem very available from many companies. they are an inch shorter and almost and inch wider. I'm curious who if any has went with this size.

    gives good comparison

    255/80s?

    Both requested sizes are listed.

I find 255/70s, I don't find 255/80s anywhere on any Goodyear site, RV or Commercial tire???

I can't find any 255/80s on their Load/Inflation Table either.

    The 265/70s are there.
  • Going form any make to the GY 670.s will result in major problems. Worst RV tire ever made!!

  • I purchased the 255/80/22.5 tire directly from Michelin through FMCA program and saved several hundred dollars.
  • I replaced my 255/80’s with 265/75R/22.5 Bridgestone tires and had no trouble finding a truck tire dealership that carried them or could easily get them .
  • SimpleTire.com has a nice offering of the 265s available at what seems to be a reasonable price.

On our last MH we replaced the Michelins with the Yokohama RY103s after one of the Michelins blew out - while parked in our garage.

If I remember correctly your MH mave had had a recall to upsize the front tires anyway. You may want to call Newmar and see what they have to offer.
