32 foot class C with a cracked rubber bushing?????

I have a 32 foot Forest river sunseeker 3170 ds. I had new Michelin tires installed by recall. When they changed the tires I noticed a rubber bushing on the front right side has small cracks in it. The left side looks like new. It is a 2013 the bushing is between the coach and the frame. The ford company says they will replace it under warranty but they have to break a weld from where the coach is welded to the frame. I don't like that idea of breaking a weld and then re-welding it if it is the coach to the frame. Just wondering if anyone has had this done and how important is that bushing with just little cracks????? Any help out there to easy my mind?

Thanks and happy camping!
  • If Forest River welded the coach frame to the chassis, those OEM shock mounts Ford supplied with the chassis may not be flexing much, maybe not even carrying the expected share of the load. If one appears to have dried out in that case, I would not mess with it.
  • That was my first thought as well. So I think I will leave well enough alone. Thanks
  • I would not worry about it. They will have to jack the cab body up to replace the bushing.
    More stuff to go wrong.
