While traveling out west this summer I noticed most of the gas stations offering 85 octane and 87 octane as their mid grade. Has anyone tried this in their gasser? I wasn't going to try it especially ...
The 85 octane fuel is sometimes "near" the mountains. Have seen it as "regular" rather than 87 out west, including Amarillo, Tx (elevation 3680'). I try to offset it with a fillup of 89 after leaving Colorado heading back east on I-40.
