Thanks - 11178admExplorercall a freightliner dealer with the vin or a cummins dealer with the engine serial number or if you can read the brand and part number on the old filters any auto parts store can cross them over to several different brand filters

Here is the oil filter section
Click This - CVDExplorerI have that year/engine/chassis. For reference, here are the Fleetguard part numbers for mine (your friend really should call Freightliner with the VIN):
Oil: LF3970 or Fram PH8942
Fuel: FS1242
Fuel/water separator: FS19855 - Johnny_G1ExplorerFleet Guard from a FreightLiner dealer will cost about $10. for an oil filter but the same filter at Dodge dealer will rip you about $50+ for the same, case of filter from Freightliner was $80 for a dozen.
