I replaced my front and rear tube TVs with Flat panels. I did not cut down the size of the front cabinet. I re-used the original mounting brackets to install a 1" x 10" wood frame for the front TV and a TV mount from KMART. Then I used a spacer on the back of the original trim. In the back I used a piece of plywood and some finished veneer. I screwed that to the original door frame and then mounted the LED TV to that with a normal wall mount that I bought on line (Cheaper). I installed a couple safety straps. The local RV shop wanted $500 just to do the front.
