A couple of electrical upgrades today...
So today I made a couple of electrical upgrades to our old 1990 Winnebago Warrior.
First off, I installed a cigarette lighter outlet with dual USB adapter under the kitchen table, so the kids can plug in their ipads while we are going down the road.
Next, our instrument cluster ammeter has never worked - it perpetually reads a charging state even with the engine off or ACC on. So I installed a pair of battery gauges in the dash. One is for the engine battery, and the other is for the house batteries. Now I can monitor the health of both battery banks as we go down the road. The gauges only turn on when the ignition is on.
I deliberately ran down the engine battery to see the effect on the gauge. It works!
