Welcome to the forum and welcome to the lifestyle. We have been camping for a number of years....so, this is what I would say. We started with a lightly used class C motorhome. We traveled cross country with a teenage son at the time. When he went off to college, we bought a class A gas new. We then moved up to a DP. We're on our second DP and must admit that it's nice to have a conversation at normal speaking voice while driving down the road. Now, we bought new but would add that it would have been smarter to shop around and find a used DP, as it would have saved us considerably...hindsight, as they say, is 20/20. We are very happy with what we have and continue to explore. Enjoy.
