Hello, I am a 20 yr Army retiree, only retired 4 years ago. I decided that I can't afford my apartment's rent increase on my fixed income, and so I just bought a 1994 Remar Dutch Star 34' this week. I'm in the process of packing up my apartment and storing my stuff, I have until the end of the month to get out of the apt. I'm excited! I've already spent two nights in DeathStar with my kids this weekend. They spend the school week with their Dad so this is going to work out great. Camping every weekend!I am SO NEW to this motorhome thing, I can't even locate the propane tank. I wish I had a sketch of the motorhome with all of the important parts pointed to!

The door to our hot water tank and furnace compartment has no lock either. I don't mean the little square one. There is a small storage area beside the HWH and it is also the access to the winterising system.

I found the propane tank! I had to pull my slideout in to find it! hahaha.

I am in the South Sound. Winters are mild, could be some snow but not much.

I don't want to poo-poo your idea of living in the MH year round, but I do want to make you aware of the possible implications of cold weather. MH's are notoriously under-insulated which means they will bleed heat in the winter and you also have a risk of water lines and tanks freezing in extreme cold. Not knowing your location other than you live in Washington, it may be doable, but it's something to think about.
