When you are plugged in to 50 amp service that. is the correct light. It also doesn't show amps while plugged into. 50 amps , that is normal, If you plug into 30 amp plug your 30 amp light will light and then the amps will show and you can sw to 20 amp.
The outlet we're plugged in to right now is 20 amp. The 50 amp light on the EMS panel is on and the button to select service doesn't do anything to change that. We tried the generator, and the indicator changed to gen set and everything worked, didn't try the fridge, though. Oh, when we had the generator running, the center panel showed 13 amps.
The inverter also works, except for the outlet that the fridge was plugged into.
DH and I were just out there trying breakers and and checking fuses. Unless there is another breaker panel we don't know about, we can't find the source of the problem.
We're speculating at the moment that that service select switch might be the problem, since we know the power source we're plugged into is 20 amps. We have a better power supply we've had it plugged into in the past here at home. If it's the switch and we find it works properly when we're plugged into a better power source, we can get it fixed when we're in the U.S.
