Well the factory batteires are a pair of GC-2.. Plus one Group 78 for the chassis, That is 300 amp hours worth of battery.

When the Interstate U-2200s were new they needed water annually, after a few years more often but when new annually, Plugged in any time Im not on the road or boondocking, (like 3 weeks a year).
Lasted 9 years, now have some Deka G-20's in there (few more amp hours) also added some other batteries so I now have over 500 amp hour just for the house.
SOME converters will boil batteries dry in as little as 2 weeks,,, Some,,, a year or more.
