Accumulator tank pressure

I recently installed an accumulator tank in the water system of my rig. My question is..how much air pressure should I put in the tank? A friend told me that I should pressurize the tank equal to the cut off pressure of the pump but that sounds a bit high. All comments will be appreciated.
  • I think mine has a label stating what pressure should be in there. I think it was 25 psi.
  • Recommend for stick homes is 2 lb. below turn on. I do the same for our mh.
  • I always run maximum sidewall pressure.

Joking aside, you want the pressure to be under or the same as the pump cut off. You want the pump to build a little pressure in the tank.

Setting the pressure too high means the pump cuts out before filling the tank.
