My MH did not come with an exterior TV. At a show recently I saw on quite a few TT's a mounting bracket on the outside. Basically a setup where you can take an interior TV, slide it up out of a bracket and slide it into a braket on the outside of the RV. Assuming I can run 110 and cable (or use the outside 110 outlets) anyone done this? Anyone know of a good bracket to use that can slide in and out easily?

I think this is the type that you need for an exterior mount. This has the "lift and lock" type of TV mounting so that you do not have to undo a bunch of screws each time you move the TV. It also swivels and tilts which you will probably need on an outside TV. TV Mounting bracket

Below is what I used to mount my TV on one of my outside compartments which had a wall only 4" in from the door (originally had a pegboard there intended to hang items from).One half mounts to the wall, the other to the back of the TV. Then, the TV slides down into the mount. Works well for us. TV can then be removed at anytime with out any hassle. If there is any negative to this type of mount, it would be that you need enough headroom to lift the TV up and in or out of the bracket. That wasn't an issue for our setup. This is also a good mount if you don't have a lot of depth to work with. We use a slimline style of flatscreen TV. If you need it to tilt or need it further from the mounting surface you might want something like this.

I am going to do the same thing and Best buy has a 24" led hdtv with a built in DVD for $169 right now...off to the mall:)

That is a great way to do it!

On another angle (no pun intended), I picked up a mount on an articulating arm that was designed such that the entire arm assembly with the TV attached slides down and locks onto the small mount that is bolted to the wall or whatever surface.

I don't recall what the brand is right now but if one were to buy 2 or just a second mount (if available for separate purchase), one could be bolted just inside a cargo bay door. The arm would allow the TV to hang just outside the open door.

I got this old TV for 50 bucks off a friend. Fortunately he plug was there and I have since added a cable outlet above the plug. It runs off a cable setup inside so that I can use the inside DVD or the dish and view it outside. I made a bracket out of aluminum and I was lucky that the TV has handles on the back to carry it.

I have a small 19" with a built in DVD planner that I carry out and set up where I want. I also added a splitter for the bedroom TV and add a coax jack in a storage compartment. No new hole in the coach and if the sun is shinning in the wrong direction I just moved the TV where I can see it.

I had thought about that too and it's something I might do, I just worry about having to bring it in every evening to keep someone from stealing it. Not that they wouldn't if it were hung but I could at least screw it in. On a table I am forced to bring it in every time I leave the coach or go to bed.

I keep mine in a basement compartment so I just put it back in at night and close the lid. I can actually even it leave it in the compartment set up and watch it from there, but it's low in the compartment so I don't do that often. I also have a LED projector so when we have kids along in our group we can watch movies on the side of the RV.

Take a good close look in all your exterior compartments.
In one, Monaco ran 115v power, a 12v lighter socket, and a TV cable!

And if you don't have cable outside, the Best Buy also sells wireless video transmitters. You can even get them in HD. Then all you need is a place to plug in your TV and then send the signal wirelessly to it from your Satelite box.

I have a suggestion, why even mount it on the RV? You're just talking drilling more holes to leak. The new LED TV's are very light. My RV already has an external cable output so I take along a 20" led TV and just set it on a folding table. That way I can put it where ever I want depending on how long my cable and extension cord is.
