Below is what I used to mount my TV on one of my outside compartments which had a wall only 4" in from the door (originally had a pegboard there intended to hang items from).
One half mounts to the wall, the other to the back of the TV. Then, the TV slides down into the mount. Works well for us. TV can then be removed at anytime with out any hassle. If there is any negative to this type of mount, it would be that you need enough headroom to lift the TV up and in or out of the bracket. That wasn't an issue for our setup. This is also a good mount if you don't have a lot of depth to work with. We use a slimline style of flatscreen TV. Combined with this mount, the required depth clearance is minimal.
