Tax advantages may not be a large portion but for me the advantage would be no home mortgage, no property taxes, no electricity bill, no water bill, no garbage collection bill, no yard mowing, no landscaping (200 bags of mulch every other year) no trimming trees, no home owners association dues, no home owners insurance.
