Advice on buying a Georgetown 364TS

I am looking at potentially purchasing a 2016 Georegtown 364TS next week. I have been researching it for a while and have prices from Orlando to Ontario so I feel I am getting a good to excellent deal on a fully loaded unit.

We have looked through all the bunk with 1 1/2 bath models from Tiffen, Winnebago, etc and are very comfortable with our choice.

I do have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to. What chassis is it on and how many speeds is the transmission on that model?

I understand there was a change in 2016 so I want to know what I am supposed to be getting.

I appreciate all comments concerning experience but please refrain from trying to talk me into an older diesel pusher. Considered it and it's not for me.

    Alignment, then rear track bar. A rear track bar makes a huge steering and overall handling improvement.

    If it can be towed four down I would go with a tow bar.,I use a blue Ox base plat and a Read Brute Elite tow bar with built in surge brake and it works perfect.

    We had an '02 GT325. It was OK, but not overwhelmingly so. We had a water ingress problem that resulted in my building replacement cabinets for the living room slide overhead.

    Once "under the skin", I found a lot of very "dodgy" building techniques, particularly in cabinet attachments to structure and electrical wiring. My gut feel was that the shop floor guys made it up as they went along, regardless of what the released engineering said.

    We've quit the RV lifetsyle, but if we were to return it would NOT be with a Forest River product.

    That my be correct. The XL line is on the 24k chassis. Do you plan on towing a toad and if so what kind. I tow a Jeep Wrangler unlimited and it come close to the 5000 pound hitch capacity. I have 6000 pounds of carrying capacity but the hitch is only rated for 5k.

    All the Georgetowns are on a 20,500 LB chassis, only the 365 is on a 22,000 LB. I believe it's the same chassis but they beef it up with bigger wheels and other things to get the 22,000 LB rating. Is that correct?

    You are correct it is on the 22K chassis. You have to move up to the XL to get the heavier chassis.
