Just a small correction. Diesels get at least 2-3 mpg better than the same size gas unit. Usually, diesel coaches weigh more but if you were to have a diesel engine in your Georgetown, you would be getting closer to 11 mpg at your weight.
Now, it's the cost of fuel that makes gas and diesel a wash as diesel can be 50 cents more per gallon then regular gas.

Just a bit of opinion here....
Deisel pushers are just plain better. That IS why they cost so much more. Nothingt to do with fuel economy. Lots to do with air ride suspensions, with a THOUSAND foot pounds of torque rumbling 40 feet behind whee I am sitting. Air brakes. Real truck / bus chassis, not a leaf spring UPS truck with a motorhome on top....
If you can afford it, and at 100k you can, go diesel.
