Spending 120k on a gasser is not too bright.
Buying a new motorhome of any type or price range indicates you have more money than brains.
And... a 36' floorplan with a rear bath has to be missing a lot, starting with a workable refrigerator.
I, too, think it's funny when people say this (buy used only).
I always buy new cars and we also bought our motorhome new. Just because you buy used doesn't mean all the bugs are worked out, it just may be getting started to have many prolblems.
I think your statement works for just YOU, not a good blanket statement for everybody.
We've had our coach for 6.5 yrs., and from what I can tell, they are still going for close to $200,000 ($225,000 asking). MSPR was $456,000 and we paid $355,000 cash so if I were to clear $195,000, I can live with that.
It's worth it to me to know exactly how the coach was treated and maintained. Everybody has their comfort level and you have yours.
