Personally, I don't begrudge anyone buying a new unit, and understand the reasons for doing it. In our case, we simply couldn't afford a new coach from the manufacturer we chose. One day, I'd love to be able to buy a new one.
However, every person I've known who bought a new motorhome (admittedly a small sample size of 3) has taken it in for multiple warranty issues. One friend bought a Tiffin gasser and has made 3 trips to Red Bay, Alabama to have work done at the factory. Maybe he just chose to do that, but it has surprised me nonetheless. I don't have the luxury - since I work full-time - of being able to take my coach to Alabama for warranty work but many people like the fact that they can take theirs to Tiffin.
Newmar was my second choice in used coaches as they seem to get the most favorable reviews on this forum and from others. Apparently they make a very good product. I drove an 8-yr old diesel model and the quality seemed good to me.
