i had a similar issue. it was the harness that was partially disconnected. from vibrations of just driving. on a 2003 lapalma v10 ford.

it is also now, i will need to remove the engine cover, reach far, far in and push it in again. every 1 or 2 years. i will add a tyrap if i can this time
