Air compressor recommendation

Has anyone purchased the Air Lift Heavy Duty Air Compressor that's in the Camping World catalog? Is it any good?

Any recommendations on a 150psi air compressor to fill up Class A tires?

Thanks,
Eric
  • Don't know if you have a diesel pusher. If you do hook up to the engine compressor. Will cost only a few bucks for hose and quick disconnect. There is a outlet in my 01 Tradewinds in compartment under driver. Other brands put it elsewhere but you can find it with a minimum of looking. Will not get 150psi but I cannot image a mh needing that much pressure. Use cruise control control to increase rpm to a fast idle and you will get 115psi at least.
  • Seeems as if the Sears unit beats out the Camping World unit. thanks for all of the tips!

Thanks Jay, I think I will buy this one up instead of the one at Harbor Freight.

    X2

Works like a charm, light and easy to store.

X3 and, I've also got the factory air outlet with gauge and 50' of hose. But, that little Sears is a good little unit. As stated, light and easy to store.

x's4 on the sears unit. Will handle the 115 pressures in a short time. Stands up in the bay and easy to transport. Suggest you add an inline air/water filter to the outlet but other than that it is ready to go.
  • I picked up this compressor on a whim, and it works fine! Cut the battery clamps off of it, and put a 12v plug on it. Put the opposite plug on the batter clamps, but also on a trailer connection plug that I picked-up at a parts store. Now I can run the compressor, and a variety of 12v appliances (macerator pump, portable satellite radio, etc), with the same plug set-up.
