Air Compressor

I'm going to buy a new air compressor in the next month or two! I would prefer one that I could travel with! I also prefer a compressor that would go up to 125 lbs. psi. I would like to spend around $250.00 or less! What brand has worked for you now or in the past? I'm thinking in the line of quality & durability!

Any number of those mentioned above will work. Porter cable at the Depot or whatever. The big difference comes in with how much you will use it. If you ever plan on using it a lot buy an oil bath type as you will run the guts out of an oiless model. They are heavier though.

It would be a rare case I would think where a compressor stowed in a motorhome is used enough to justify the weight and cost of an oil bath type.

  • VIAIR 85P Portable Air Compressor from AMAZON Works well. Mine had a short cord so I bought Power Poles and #14 ZIP cord from Powerwerx and made up a longer cord. Power Poles were made for robotics. They are hard to crimp until you learn the correct thickness and width.
  • We use Sears 6 gallon pancake 150 psi comprised. About $200.00
  • This is the one I carry. It's small enough to store, but has enough power to pump up high pressure tires or blow out water lines and debris.
